GRIP NHS Language Services is part of Westminster PCT and the leading high quality provider of face to face interpreting services in health and social care in London. Established in 1991, GRIP's purpose is to deliver the best quality services with a friendly customer approach ensuring that patients with language needs have equal access and feel able to use services available to them. GRIP's mission is to improve access to health and non health care services by delivering best value face to face interpreting to service providers working with communities in London, whose preferred language is other than English.

- Break through and gradually eliminate language barriers in service provision for the benefits of both service providers and patients/clients with language needs.
- Earn service providers loyalty by delivering high quality face to face interpreting with the best value rates across all languages.
- Ensure access to interpreting services including out of hours and urgent booking requests.
- Provide accessible training to service providers on how to use the service and how to work with the interpreters.
- Offer services locally, so that interpreters are familiar with the local community they are working in and can respond promptly.
- Be a valuable information source for the planning of new standards, policies and procedures being implemented to improve public services for the black and ethnic minority population in London.
