Sessional Interpreters Pay

GRIP offers 2 competitive rates of pay (grades A and B) which reflect the qualification(s) and experience the applicant posses.

In addition to the above pay, successful applicants receive.

  • Daily travel allowance (tax free).
  • Attendance allowance for training or meetings organised by GRIP (including induction).
  • All payments on the 25th of every month directly into a bank account provided you have worked.
  • Access to the NHS Pension Scheme where the WPCT - GRIP pays 14% and sessional interpreters contribute 6% towards their pension.
  • Access to Occupational Health providing health and vaccination checks as well as psychology and counselling support. Other support services include access to a subsidised NHS dental services, complementary therapies and Fitness Suites.
  • Itemised Monthly Pay Reports which list every booking completed each month.
  • Future Allocated Bookings Report listing all future confirmed sessions.
  • Several local NHS benefits and discounts when you produce you GRIP NHS ID badge.
